If it has F-14 Tomcats and carrier ops I'm sold. Bleep and bloop heaven This admittedly does look interesting. Carrier Ops make a refreshing change from the usual F16 operations. That said, Ive had a few rounds in the F18, and I still think it is worth playing around in. F-117A Stealth Fighter, F-19 Stealth Fighter, Combat Air Patrol, F-18 Interceptor. What some people dont realize is the code provides for only F16 avionics - any A/C other than the Falcon will use F16 avionics, and a tweaked F16 FM.
Remember that MPS/Falcon 4 was considered by professional F-16 pilots as giving them negative training for their real flying. Be aware that most of the flying reflexes and knowledge that you acquired with the MPS simulator was wrong and some new training will be necessary. Is it different than the 16? In little ways, like the way the cannon rounds come off the nose, and some of the sound effects. I used to love playing flight combat sims on the Amiga. engineers (and consequently BMS) have developed and improved the FLCS. You can catapult with 18 in BMS, but really all it is lining up with the catapult, putting the parking brake on and throttling up, then you are automatically shot off. But the non f-16 aircraft are facsimiles, almost like place holders. That said, BMS is still freaking awesome, and 4.33 adds so much to the sim.

It works, but don't kid yourself into thinking it's an f-18 simulator because it isnt. Couldn't find any tutorials considering 4.33 came out todaySo hopefully this helps many of you who want to learn how to fly this bad boy. The ICU/scratchpad is just that of the F-16 dressed up like the 18.
